Complimentary contrasts

While in Schweinfurt, I couldn’t miss the visit to the Georg Schäfer Museum. It was delightful to be surrounded by art after a long time, to be immersed in the 19th century, walk by some remarkable paintings, and wrap up the visit with the history of the pop-up book art. I loved the contemporary architecture of the building and its combination of wood and concrete. Peaceful yet monumental as it’s overlooking the Main.
