New normal art
By Gordana Lakic, June 10, 2021
After over a year of forced hibernation, the mere idea of connecting to art the way we used to sounded almost surreal. But despite that distant dream, I was able to enter a new, hi tech set art exhibit.
The Spectacular Universe of Van Gogh exhibit was presented to its audience through animation covering its gallery walls. Familiar images began to emerge with this new medium, truly bringing his incomparable work to life. In a never before seen display of creativity, more than 300 iconic painter’s artworks pay homage to his famous portfolio and bring it to the third dimension.
In the moments of indulging in sunflower blossoms and dreaming Starry Nights over Rhône, getting trapped in explosion of colors with satisfying sentiment, you get interrupted with a tinge of darkness, as seen in many of his works. The music that’s paired with these paintings brought my emotions to the next level. Through the highs and lows of the pandemic, I couldn’t have asked for a more dazzling way to dive back into the life of arts.
